They don't, or at least, they're not supposed to, and we work hard to keep it that way. Here's how:

• We evaluate products based on independently verified technical specifications, hands-on testing results, and published user data, not on commission rates.
• We recommend products from brands regardless of whether we've an affiliate relationship with them. If the best option doesn't have an affiliate program, we still recommend it and link to it.
• We don't accept payment from manufacturers or retailers for favorable coverage, product placement, or rankings.
• Negative findings are published even when the product has a high commission rate.
• We disclose affiliate relationships at the top of every commercial page and article that contains affiliate links.
